Late last year we decided to plant roses. I never would have thought we would have been this successful with them.

On one of the bushes there is in excess of 20 buds waiting to bloom. They are truly beautiful.

I made all of those pillows with fabric from yesterday's shopping trip.

Back to work for Jay today & the girls & kids came over. It was a perfect warm day for the kids to play outside.


The evening came and in the sky was the most perfect full moon. I wish the photo came up better than what it did.I guess the iPhone can't photograph everything.

It's official. We are Italian.

Today we purchased our Christmas Gift from Mom & Dad We decided on a pizza smoker oven. It is a beauty!

We rang mum & dad Australia and they came up to look at it. With them they brought a tradition Italian pasta alla gitara machine and a rosticini maker. I think we need a bigger outdoor area!

Day 7

Today was the day for family. And as always family = food + fun. We enjoyed an evening of roasted duck cooked in the wood oven.

It was followed by Whoopie Pie galore.

Day 6

Cupcakes are now dead. It's Whoopie Pies all the way.

Summer sun, beer, pool & pool toys. Doesn't get any better!

Trivial Pursuit on the iPad. Jay won this round but who will win round two?

Day 3

It's been a year since we hit balls at the driving range. And even if I do say so myself we did pretty well!

The golf course we went to has had major renovations completed and they have a very fancy double story fully automatic driving range. It was like having your own caddy.

Day 2

Holidays are times to relax and veg out. This is not only true for us but for the cat too.

Winston has spent the last few days doing nothing but sleeping.

We love the little fatty.

Day 1

New Years.

We rang in the New Year with our dear friends Mel & Matt.

We laughed, ate, drank and played like teenagers in the pool (despite us all being in our 30's)

What a fantastic way to start the year!
